Description: Many think that the Steamboat Marathon and Half Marathon are the only times to race longer distances in Steamboat Springs....Not So! The Mountain Madness Half Marathon joins the Hayden Cog as one of the two oldest races in Steamboat Springs and the Running Series. This great race is also held the same weekend as Rainbow Weekend so plan that trip to Steamboat ahead of time.
Entry fee includes Smartwool socks and great food at the end.
Course Description(s):
The ½ marathon and 10k races start at Howelsen Hill Park and heads out River Rd on a rolling hill, paved course.
The ½ marathon turns right and goes up a steep hill through Dakota Ridge and circles back to River Rd.
The 10k continues on River Rd and is an out and back.
