I understand they need to do work, but you know ... they could "work" with the rest of us who have to work by not starting until, say 9? Even if it adds days, it would be worth it. They are going to close the road at 7 a.m. for more than 2 months, are you KIDDING ME??? Do they even KNOW how backed up it can get on a normal day? The Village Drive intersection is going to suck because everyone who doesnt want to wait there is going to go up over the top and come down Walton.
HEY CITY - There are plenty of real locals who really go to work down Whistler Road, streets department. (I think maybe even a non-rich council-person, maybe they can help.) It's not all condos and second-homes down here.
LAME, city, LAME!!!!!!!

I think this is a Mount Werner Water project.

It may be, but the city still authorizes the road closure, which is my issue.

Pale, you sure are a proficient whiner. I live down that road as does at least one council person. It will be another five minutes. Take a deep breath and relax....

telebikebird ... nice namecalling.
It will suck. And who gives a crap if a council person lives down there?

Just a thought, but if it is causing you this much road rage, maybe you should consider taking the bus, riding your bike or walking to work if possible. Maybe it's really a sign. If you and all your neighbors car-pooled or used an alternative mode of transportation, there would be less cars to contend with on the days when driving is unavoidable. I'm sure once you got in the habit, you would be amazed at how easy it is and how much money you save.
