Paddling Life Pro Invitational freestyle runner-up John Meyers took home the “PBR King Can” Big Air Award Monday afternoon after throwing a series of huge aerial loops to land him in the men’s finals and earn him third place overall in the two-part event.

Eagle resident and defending champion of the Charlie Beavers Classic race, Brad Ludden, took second place at the creek race portion of Monday's Paddling Life Pro Invitational, running the middle section of Fish Creek in 2 minutes, 35.30 seconds.


Stephen Wright performs a monstrous aerial “space godzilla” in the men’s freestyle finals to win the event (he took fourth in the morning race on Fish Creek) and take top overall men’s honors at Monday’s Paddling Life Pro Invitational. Australia’s Tanya Faux defended her title by winning the women’s side.


Canada’s Nick Troutman wowed the crowd at Monday’s Paddling Life Pro Invitational freestyle event at Charlie’s Hole by throwing his paddle and landing a hands-free loop to qualify for the men’s finals, where he took third.


Australia’s Tanya Faux took second place at the Charlie Beavers Classic downriver race portion of Monday’s two-part Paddling Life Pro Invitational on Fish Creek, and she took first at the freestyle event to secure the overall women’s title.


Steamboat Springs High School student, artist and entrepreneur Courtney Adamo has started a business selling her artwork as part of her Senior Project. She is presenting the project Wednesday at the high school.
