A plow truck makes its way along River Road south east of Steamboat Springs on Monday morning. Slippery, snow-covered roads resulted in numerous accidents during the morning’s commute.
Tile worker Leopoldo Ortiz was part of a crew working to place tile inside the new pools at the Old Town Hot Springs on Monday afternoon. Pat Carney, the Old Town Hot Springs director, said work is on schedule, but she will have a better idea of when the work will be completed after Dec. 10.

Onlookers gather around the remains of a business that burned in a fire on Yampa Avenue in 1978. Firefighters had battled the flames throughout the night in spite of freezing temperatures.
After the walls collapsed, the fire continued inside the Country Mall on Sunday night and through Monday morning.
