Wild Silvery Lupine flowers pop up near a pine tree on the trail to Rabbit Ears Peak. The trail is filled with great spots to snap worthy photos of wildflower meadows leading to one of the region’s signature summits. In this photo, the peak draws the attention of the viewer by being framed between the wildflowers across the bottom and the green arms of the pine to one side. A high f-stop setting required a lot of light to expose the photograph correctly, but ensured both the top of the peak and the foreground flowers could be clear and distinguishable.
