Steamboat Springs officials say construction and redevelopment at the base ski area are contributing to lower sales tax revenues.

Steamboat’s Jennifer Schubert-Akin finishes the last stretch of the Leadville Trail 100 last weekend. Schubert-Akin finished the race with just 11 minutes to spare.

Shannon Carlin moved to Steamboat a year ago and has taken over for Chris Adams as physical education teacher at Soda Creek Elementary. Adams now is teaching at Steamboat Springs Middle School.
