Traffic and other concerns at the current location prompted Postal Service officials to start looking at alternative locations for the Steamboat Springs offices.

Steamboat Springs resident Shannon Ford and her daughter Ava used the extra hour of sunlight Monday to enjoy the spring-like weather. The family’s pet, Elliemae, also seemed to enjoy the longer day and the warmer weather.
Lisa Rolan, the new finance director for the city of Steamboat Springs, began work in her new role last week. Rolan came to Steamboat Springs from Columbia, S.C.
