Steamboat Springs High School sophomore Marilyn Harris will give a recital at 7 p.m. today at United Methodist Church. It will be one of Harris’ last performances before leaving in the fall for Phillips Academy Andover in Andover, Mass., where she plans to pursue academics, theater and hockey.

Leisure Mountain Studios, a coffee shop/gallery space in Yampa, changes the art on its walls each month. The December show features 16 Colorado artists and will be celebrated with a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at the store.
Local veterinarian Lee Meyring, pictured with his kids, was honored Sunday at the Routt County 4-H chapter’s Achievement Day for outstanding volunteer service. Meyring teaches the basics of being a vet to 4-H members weekly.
