In reference to the editor's wish for JohnQ public to be more involved, this is definitely an important issue. However, all the recent changes in the growth and destruction of our community took place without consulting JohnQ. The average John does not appreciate the crane on every corner, the increased traffic, or the inflated real estate prices. JohnQ is forced to live out of town with a long commute on congested roads and sees decisions made in favor of the rich and powerful. So JohnQ remains frustrated and helpless, and therefore remains silent and uninvolved and thinks about moving elsewhere.
