Imagine that, another Steamboat local complaining…our community has become pretty negative, which is hard to believe for as beautiful as it is to live here. Instead of feeling like we are owed more, take what we have and be happy with it.
Quit the moaning and groaning, this is NOT the worst place in the world to live like some make it out to be.

I bet if we would have just left all of the old buildings, and done nothing to Ski Time square, the ratings would have climbed higher every year (People who spend thousands of dollars for vacation, love old out of date accommodation's)…sometimes, you have to take a step back before you move forward.

I was just thinking the other day, I would love to see this trial on The People's Court, or Judge Judy, that would be a riot.

rsssco,

I agree it is not the best that I have had, but if you consider that they are in a small town in the middle of the mountains, not bad (Better than the other options in town for sure).
Saketumi, is Asian food with a twist, so no point in ragging on them because someone wears his hat backwards. Does it matter what the cook/Chef looks like?

rsssco,

I eat sushi all over the country, and have had good and bad, we are LUCKY to have such a good sushi place in our small community. Don't judge the book by its cover.

OldSchool, guess that flat roof will go along with every other building downtown that has a flat roof.
Give them a break, their building, they should be able to do what they want with it within reason.

Stir,

When you said “Neither the Lynx, Cut Throats, or SBS Black Sox were offered positions in 2007 TCS World Series…..bracket full”. Could the brackets have been full due to the fact that the local teams may have decided to play/register way too late? Should 3C have to leave open spots for the local teams up until the weekend the tournament is suppose to start? I know that if I decide to fly out of Hayden two days from now, the seats might all be taken, is that the Airlines fault that I waited so long to make my arrangements to fly?
Just curious about when they tried to register, and then were denied. I am sure you will be able to tell us.

twostroke,

Just an FYI, the Playboy write up was in 2001, The Nadas had a large press release ready to go after that article, which was released on 9/11 that year, needless to say, the press release didn't get much attention. You talk to them about it, and they will shuck their shoulders, and say there was more important things happening at that time than them becoming famous. They are simply stand up guys that play because the love to play!!
I agree with you, they ROCK!!

So after we run 3C off, we need to start working on running of the Soccer people…

All good points. That reminded me that we were actually unable to practice a couple of times last year, due to a Soccer tournament being played at Emerald, that involved teams NOT from Steamboat. Should our kids have been denied because of this soccer tournament? How about the kids that did NOT make the tournament baseball teams, should they have been denied the fields when Steamboat hosted the regional LL tournaments, which again, had games that did NOT involve local teams? Where should they have gone to practice, in order to maybe improve their skills in order to make the tournament team next year?
I think what we can learn from this, is that we all need to be flexible (might be good for kids to learn that as well).
