For those of you who picked up the print edition of Steamboat Today today, you saw something different.
On Tuesday, Strings in the Mountains and Colorado Group Realty paid for a full-color, glossy wrap around a two-section Steamboat Today. The Today is broken into an "A" or news section and a "B" section that contains sports and classifieds.
This is an innovative approach to print advertising that we hope to use more often in the future. You will see it again on Friday, July 6, when we will have three sections inside the advertising wrap.
I'd love to hear your feedback on the way we designed the newspaper. Call or e-mail me.

honestly the giant Strings cover made me feel like you sold out to them or they sold out to you. Either way it was a little obnoxious. The "sections" are actually sort of nice, almost like what I'm used to in a slightly larger town (grew up with the Saratogian: http://www.saratogian.com/) and we had news, business, sports, and sometimes the opinion pages had their own section "viewpoints" I think they called it. The sections make it easier to split the paper if 2 people want to read it at the same time (let's say sitting at the bagel shop on a saturday morning or something) ..just my 2 cents
