The volume of breaking news in Steamboat's real estate, development and business communities has accelerated to the point that I'm going to bust it out in a blog so you can stay ahead of it
I hope to bring you news of new listings, contracts and closings. I also want to give you a first look at new projects entering the city planning process. Ideally, I want this to be the place where you first learn about new businesses coming to Steamboat.
A signficiant contingent of Seamboat Realtors was in Denver July 25 to attend the reservation event of Trailhead Lodge, poised to begin construction in Wildhorse Meadows.
Developers Resort Ventures West and real estate/marketing firm S&P Destination Properties hosted the event at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The location is about a mile from the tony Cherry Creek neighborhood.
Why Denver? A PR flack (it's a term of endearment) for the developers told me that's where they expect the buyers to come from.
This is a big deal because the area immediately north of Trailhead (a condo-tel) will host the lower terminus of the much talked about people mover cabriolet into Gondola Plaza and One Steamboat Place.
We promise to debrief Realtors returning from the event. I'm thinking Resort Ventures West is pretty confident or they would not have invited the press.
I wonder if the appetizers were good

Frankly, I hope they all got food poisoning! Not very nice but niether is what some would do to Steamboat for the sake of a dollar or should I say Billions of dollars. It's a shame that this community will be lost to the elite in the not to distant future. Thank God for national Forests. Too bad most will have to travel to use them.
