City planners ask for citizen input on resiliency, sustainability

Community members can provide input to city planners by completing the last of four brief online surveys with the final topic about Resiliency and Sustainability to help inform the update of the Steamboat Springs Area Community Plan.

The fourth brief survey relating to Resiliency and Sustainability is available online at Engagesteamboat.net/communitycanvas through Aug. 26.

The city’s Area Community Plan is the policy document that guides future growth and sets long-range priorities and policies. The current Area Community Plan was adopted in 2004 and reconfirmed through a public process in 2014. The plan provides policy framework for regulatory tools such as zoning and is designed to address current and long-term needs identified during the community-driven process.

Steamboat Springs Principal Planner Brad Calvert said the four brief surveys were spread out for quick responses and to line up with in-person engagement happening at the downtown Farmers Market on Saturdays.
