The Hayden Library has honored 8-year-old Violet Arsonault as the fifth Reader of the Week for the library’s summer reading program.

According to the library, Violet has lived in Hayden with her family since she was born. Her parents are Beth and Aaron, and Violent has an older sister named Autumn. The family has a dog named June, and Violet’s best friends are Rosie and Brinley.

Violet said her favorite foods are sushi, shrimp and rotisserie chicken, and her favorite show is “Mr. Beast” because he does kind things for people.

In her free time, Violet enjoys reading, coloring and playing Mindcraft. Her favorite book is “Wings of Fire” by Tui T. Sutherland, and she loves books by Shel Silverstein. Violet also enjoys playing soccer, and her favorite subject in school is writing. She wants to be a zookeeper when she grows up so she can be around her favorite animal, the giraffe.

Asked if she has any advice for children about reading, Violet said, “it takes you into a really cool place. There is really cool stuff in books.”
