The Hayden Library’s sixth Reader of the Week for the summer is Charlie Hunter, a third-grader who has lived in town for the last three years with her family.

Charlie has a 6-year-old brother, Henry, and her parents Selena, Ronald, Eric, and as Charlie says, her father God. She has a dog named Duke who lives at her father’s house, and her best friends are Ophelia, Scarlett and her cousin Abi.

Charlie’s favorite subject in school is science, and when she grows up she wants to be a book tester so she can read all the books and tell folks if they are good or not.

Her favorite book is the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. She also loves to dance. In her free time, she loves to hang out with her family, draw and read.

Asked what advice she would give to younger kids about reading, Charlie said: “Always read, read all the time.”

She also said she “was super, super, super excited” about being named the Reader of the Week.
