Haymaker golf course closes for the season
Due to the approach of snow and cold weather temperatures, Haymaker Golf Course has officially “called it” for the season, according to a news release.
The city-owned course sent the announcement just before 2 p.m. Monday, capping off a prolonged season supported by unseasonably warm temperatures this fall.
“Your praises on course conditions were frequent and much appreciated throughout the summer. As an amazing season comes to an end, we recognize your appreciation for past rounds (and) your excitement for next spring when the grass is green again,” the news release said.
While the actual course is closed, you can still take swings at Haymaker by booking a golf simulator located on the premises. Called “The Fringe,” the simulator is available from noon-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
Food and beverage are not available from the clubhouse, but golfers are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages while they play.
To book the simulator, you can call the course or go to HaymakerGolf.com to make a reservation.
