Nonprofit Vitalant health care organization has scheduled its next blood drives in the Yampa Valley for Nov. 12-14, and all Vitalant donors have the chance to win one of three $10,000 gift cards in a Make a Difference Giveaway.

According to a media release from Vitalant, giving blood is a simple, yet much-needed way to help patients who need blood transfusions. Donors of every blood type help prevent treatment delays for patients in need of a transfusion.

The two blood drive times in Steamboat Springs are 12:30-6 p.m. Nov. 13 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 14 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1155 Central Park Dr.

The blood drive in Craig is scheduled for 12:30-6 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 640 E. Victory Way.

Most people are eligible to give blood if they are in good general health. Donors can review eligibility requirements and make an appointment at Vitalant.org or call 877-25-VITAL (877-258-4825).
