November 25, 1961 – June 27, 2024

Leslie Julianna Goulet, 62, of Oak Creek, CO, passed away peacefully on June 27th, 2024, after a year long battle with lung cancer.

Leslie was born November 25th, 1961 to parents Raina H. Goulet and Charles R. Goulet in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where she spent the majority of her early youth. In 1975, the family moved to Greeneville, South Carolina. There, she attended high school and, after graduating in 1979, attended the University of South Carolina in pursuit of a degree in English Literature.

Leslie grew up skiing. It was a favorite for the whole family, and Vail became a favorite destination. After finishing college, Leslie, her sister Kathy and her parents moved to Vail. There, she worked in retail throughout the valley for more than 2 decades including stores like Roxy, Squash Blossom, and Petals of Provence. With a life long passion for fashion, Leslie even owned her own clothing boutique in Edwards, called Local Fibers.

In early 1985, Leslie met W. Robert Wray, a fellow CO resident, and in late 1985, the two were married. Together, they had 2 children, Danielle and Emily born in 1986 and 1988. The two unfortunately parted ways in 1992.

Leslie was remarried to Vail local Demetrius Poulios in 1995. The two spent more than 2 decades together exploring Colorado, camping, traveling, and enjoying time with their friends and family.

During her life, Leslie loved the outdoors. Not only did she love being in nature, she loved to get her hands in the dirt, and always had an outstanding array of flowers in her backyard sanctuary.

Leslie was also incredibly vibrant in life. Her wide smile, friendly nature, unforgettable laugh and humor brought joy and drew many friends around her. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Leslie was predeceased by her parents Raina and Ruddy. Leslie is survived by her daughters and son in law Danielle Ray (Kelly), and Emily Wray, her grandchildren Sage and Oliver Ray, her siblings Ruddy Goulet (Cindy) and Kathy Goulet, her nieces and nephews Ryan Goulet (Erica), Erin Hoffman (Eric) and Raina Goulet.

A celebration of life will be held in Oak Creek, CO August 3, 2024, at Decker Park at 1 o’clock in the afternoon, with a later celebration to follow in Loveland CO at her daughter Dani’s house September 21, 2024. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Jan Bishop Cancer Center in Steamboat Springs where Leslie received her cancer treatments or to American Cancer Society to fund cancer research.
