Routt County Treasurer Lane Iacovetto is reminding property owners that April 30 is the deadline to pay property taxes in full for those who have selected the single-payment option.
This deadline applies to taxpayers whose mortgage companies do not pay their property taxes and who have chosen to make one full payment instead of two installments. For those who opted to pay in two halves, the first half was due Feb. 28 and the second half is due June 15.
Residents can pay their property taxes online using a debit or credit card or an electronic check at Co.Routt.Co.US/Tax.
Payments can also be made by mail by sending a check to the Routt County Treasurer at 522 Lincoln, Ave., Suite 22, Steamboat Springs 80487. Residents can also make their tax payments in person by stopping by the treasurer’s office 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday or by using the secure, 24-hour drop box located in the alley behind the Routt County historic courthouse, 522 Lincoln Ave.
To ensure your payment is properly credited, please include your tax account number(s) on your check and attach the payment coupon(s) that were mailed to you.
For questions or additional information, contact the Routt County Treasurer’s Office at 970-870-5555 or visit Co.Routt.Co.US/Tax.
