Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. has received certification as a Silver Member of the Colorado Green Business Network through the Colorado Department of Health and Environment.

The Colorado Green business Network is a program that encourages organizations across the state to work toward operational sustainability. The Silver certification means Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. was successful in reducing its resource-use across multiple aspects of its operations.

“Achieving the CGBN Silver Membership highlights the efforts of the Steamboat team as well as the strong initiatives identified through Alterra’s Forward stance,” said Sarah Jones, director of Social Responsibility for Ski Corp., in a news release. “We are proud of this achievement and see it as a motivator to continue this important work.”

The company’s work with the Colorado Green Business Network grants it access to resource reductions strategies, coaching, workshops and includes the company on the GreenBizTracker public directory on the CGBN website.
