The Steamboat Springs Rotary Club recognized Soroco High School student Molly Smith as the student of the month for her dedication to her academic career and athletics.
Smith participates in Future Farmers of America, National Honor Society, 4-H and is a community volunteer. She will graduate with a 4.14 grade-point average after obtaining 27 college credits by the end of her senior year.

Smith has committed to Butler University in Indianapolis, where she plans to study political science and history with an interest in law school.
“I truly admire the person Molly is at heart,” said Smith’s academic advisor, Jeannie Jo Logan. “She is kind, respectful and willing to help others. Every teacher in our high school is impressed with how she carries herself and no one hesitates to ask her for her help because they know she will do it.”
