Jessica Lane has stepped in as the new interim executive director for the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra.

According to the nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing orchestral music to the community, Lane assumed duties of the position on Tuesday.

Credited for bringing a wealth of experience to the role, Lane has served as operations director for the past three years. The organization also highlighted Lane’s professionalism working with the musicians, housing donors and the administrative team for giving Lane an advantage for leading the organization.

“Both the board and the administrative team are delighted to welcome Jessica as our new interim executive director,” Board chair Lara Craig said in a statement. “Although Jessica will be leading us remotely, her exceptional leadership skills, strategic insights and deep industry knowledge make her the ideal choice to lead while we continue our search for a permanent executive director. Being in a place of real growth, we have tremendous confidence in Jessica’s leadership.”
