Steamboat Symphony Orchestra welcomes new development director

Gary Whitlock was named the new Development Director for the Steamboat Springs Symphony Orchestra on Aug. 6, 2024.

The Steamboat Symphony Orchestra has named Gary Whitlock as its new development director. 

According to the organization, Whitlock has served as a counselor, coach, strategist, branding expert and facilitator, and brings more than 20 years of experience in people-building and brand-development to the role with a track record in individual enrichment, business growth and artistic initiatives in the music industry.

In Whitlock’s previous roles as a strategic business leader, he supported the growth of brands including Olay, Clairol, Pringles and Pantene. His additional creative music credits include serving as the executive producer for several Gold and Platinum Grammy Award winning artists spanning multiple genres ranging from Al Green to Amy Grant.



The Steamboat Symphony Orchestra is a local orchestra dedicated to integrating orchestral music into the community, to delivering professional performances and providing music education.
